Words are not sufficient to express how much I love this place, this part of the country. It was such a joy to bring John to this city where I lived for three years, and we didn’t even get to go to some of the places I wanted to show him - Mt. Hood National Forest, my school, Multnomah University, the Columbia River gorge, and some others. But I was able to see some dear friends, make some new friends, and receive some much needed soul care. This was the first trip we’ve taken away from our girls without a work-related purpose since our honeymoon. It was such a precious time, in such a beautiful city and region, the Pacific Northwest. We stayed at the Society Hotel on NW 3rd, in the Pearl, in Chinatown. It was heartbreaking to leave this land and those friends, but we were missing the girls and eager to be back with them. I would love to move back, but we don’t want to leave the family we have here - his sister and her family, and soon, his parents will be moving back from Mississippi. Time will tell. In the meantime, I hope to visit again as frequently as possible. This place has my heart.
